I am a grade eight student at the Sterling Hall School and I have been here ever since the year 2000 (about 8 years). Right now I have taken the leadership role of the Morrison House Captain. I am looking forward to meeting you in January to talk about why I would suit this school. This is my first choice school and I will be applying for grade 9 for the 2008/09 year. I am well suited to attend your school because I have brought great leadership, responsibility, and spirit to the Sterling Hall School and I will do what I can to make my time and everybody else’s a great time at Greenwood College.
Right now I have taken the leadership role as a house captain it has taught me to be much more of a leader especially when nobody else is being a leader because of my role. Together as a grade we have done many things, including sorting food at the north York harvest food bank, setting up for The Terry Fox Run and many more upcoming events such as going dog sledding with my class.
Having school spirit is one of the key things to succeeding in my leadership role. It is needed for a house captain because we need to strive to influence the younger children in to having spirit for their house and the school as well. On our outdoor trips such as camping on Lake Temagami and going dog sledding they both require a massive amount of perseverance and spirit because if you don’t have either than we wouldn’t have been able to get through temagami or succeed in the upcoming trip in Algonquin park.
It has been a great school year so far and I hope it will stay that way, I look forward to seeing you in early January and until then I hope you enjoyed reading my letter.
Yours truly,
Marco De Pasquale
